Plagiarism and Similarity Index Policy

CyberSystem Journal enforces a strict plagiarism policy to ensure the originality and integrity of published research. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must adhere to the following standards regarding similarity indices and originality checks:

Similarity Index Requirements

  • Overall Similarity: The total similarity index should not exceed 15%.
  • Single Source Limit: No more than 3% similarity should originate from any single source.
  • AI-Generated Content: Any AI-generated content, including text or data, must be explicitly declared, and its similarity index should be less than 5%  or *.

Plagiarism Detection Tools

  • CyberSystem Journal uses Turnitin and iThenticate as the primary tools to screen for plagiarism and ensure compliance with these standards.

Consequences for Non-Compliance

  • Pre-Publication: If a manuscript exceeds the similarity thresholds, authors will be notified and may be required to revise or remove the overlapping sections. If substantial plagiarism is detected, the manuscript may be rejected outright.
  • Post-Publication: If significant plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article, notify the authors’ institutions, and take further corrective action as deemed necessary.

CyberSystem Journal is committed to maintaining ethical publication practices and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to handle any instances of plagiarism and to ensure the authenticity of all published work.
